Sir Paul McCartney could be performing in Israel after a 40-year Beatles ban, says the Associated Press.
The report says he will perform in Tel Aviv, Israel on Sept. 25. The Beatles were banned more than four decades ago for fear they would corrupt young fans.
But McCartneys publicist Stuart Bell is quoted in the report saying, Nothings been confirmed.
Looking fit and feisty, Madonna kicked off her ‘Sticky and Sweet’ tour Saturday night at the 75,000-capacity Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. Turning 50 hasn’t slowed down the Material Mom one bit, as she strutted her stuff in fine form with an athletic performance featuring a variety of costume changes, set pieces and songs.
Britain’s Daily Mail reports the pop superstar arrived onstage in a vintage automobile, dressed in a Givenchy outfit for "Pimp," the first section of the four-part themed show. "Old School," "Gypsy" and "Rave" rounded out the sections, which incorporated many of Madonna’s hits while highlighting different musical, dancing and cultural styles.
Forest Whitaker, Whoopi Goldberg, Barry Manilow and more stars have teamed up with former Eurythmics man Dave Stewart on an inspirational video for change, "American Prayer."
